Glossary of Terms

Please familiarize yourself with the following abbreviations which are essential for the understanding of the explanations used throughout this web site.

AD - Air Duct. Designed to be mounted in the bumpers or other parts of the body for the purposes of diverting air to the engine or brakes.
BL - Brake Light.
CF - Carbon Fiber.
CS - Cowl Spoiler. Mounts on the back of the hood right in front of the windshield to divert air.
CONV - Convertible.

DC - Door Caps. Attaches over the doors to match the lines of the SS.
DOD - Degree of Difficulty. A subjective scale of 1 to 5 to describe ease of installation of each ground effect and wide body kit listed in our catalogue where 1 signifies³easy², 5 signifies³very difficult² and 2 to 4 fall somewhere between 1 and 5.

EB - Eye Brows. Attaches on top of the head lights and look like eyebrows.
EG - Engine Grill. Grill for rear engine cars
ET - Exhaust Tips.
EV - Engine Vent. It is the engine cover (hood) replacement for rear engine cars.

FBO - Front Bumper Overlay. It covers over the entire existing bumper cover or the bumper without removing either.
FBS - Front Bumper Spoiler. Replaces the bumper cover or the complete bumper including the bumper reinforcement and absorbers.
FF - Fender Flares. When listed under WBK it could mean either Replacement Front Fenders or Front Fender Flares and Rear 1/4 Panels or Rear Fender Flares. In applications other than WBK it means only Front and Rear Fender Flares.
F/FF - Front Fender Flares. When listed under WBK it could mean either Replacement Front Fenders or Front Fender Flares. In applications other then WBK it means only Front Fender Flares.
FG - Fiberglass.
FL - Fog Lights.
FS - Front Spoiler. Attaches below the front bumper or on the bumper without removing the OEM bumper or bumper cover.
FV - Fender Vents. Attaches on the front fenders behind the front wheels.
GR - Grille. Replacement grills that some come with and some without head or fog lights.

GRS - Grill Spoiler. It attaches to the top of the grill right under the hood.
HLC - Head Light Covers.

HS - Hood Scoop. Bolt on or mold on scoops that attach to the hood.
HW - Hood Wing. Wing that attaches to the front of the hood.

LED - Lights used in the wings which have Christmas light type multiple bulbs.
LTS - Lights.
MI - Mirrors. Pair of side mirrors in styles other than OEM.

OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer.
P - Plastic. ABS or other type
PC - Pieces.
RA - Rear Apron. Attaches below the rear bumper or on the bumper without removing the OEM bumper or bumper cover.
RAW - Rear Air Wing. Attaches on top of the rear window.
RBA - Rear Bumper Apron. Replaces the bumper cover or the complete bumper including the bumper reinforcement and absorbers.
RBO - Rear Bumper Overlay. It covers over the entire existing bumper cover or the bumper without removing either.
RD - Round. Refers to the shape of lights.
R/FF - Rear Fender Flares. When listed under WBK it could mean either 1/4 Panels or Rear Fender Flares. In applications other then WBK it means only Rear Fender Flares.
RP - Rear Panel. It attaches between the tail lights.
RS - Rear Spoiler. Attaches flush on the trunk.
RW - Rear Wing. Sits on pedestals.
RWT -Rear Whale Tail. Porsche 911 style
SQ - Square. Refers to the shape of lights.
SS - Side Skirts. Attaches over the rocker panels below the doors.
ST - Steel.
TDC - Testarossa Door Caps. Door Caps with Testarossa style lines.
TH - Targa Hatch. Ferrari style
TLC - Tail Light Cover.
TW - Trunk Wing "959". Complete trunk with a built-in wing either made out of the OEM trunk or out of fiberglass
U - Urethane or Polyurethane.
WBK - Wide Body Kit. A ground effect kit that includes fender flares or wide fenders and 1/4 panels. These kits require extensive body work and painting of the entire car. In most cases wider tires and wheels are required to fill the wider fenders.
WRS - Wraparound Rear Spoiler. Sits on the trunk or hatch flush and extends to the quarter panels.
WRW - Wraparound Rear Wing. Sits on the trunk or hatch on pedestals and extends to the quarter panels
YRS - Years.
1/4S - Quarter Skirt. A left and right side pieces that attach to the rear quarter panels behind the wheels but which do not meet in order to classify as a RA.
1PC - One piece
2DR - 2 Door or coupe models.
2PC - Two piece
3DR - 3 Door or 2 door hatchback models.
3PC - Three piece
3PK - 3 Piece Kit. Includes a FS and SS.
3PBK - 3 Piece Bumper Kit. Includes a FBS and SS.
3PBOK - 3 Piece Bumper Overlay Kit. Includes a FBO and SS.
4DR - 4 Door or sedan models.
4PK - 4 Piece Kit. Includes a FS, SS and RA.
4PBK - 4 Piece Bumper Kit. Includes a FBS, SS and RBA.
4PBOK - 4 Piece Bumper Kit. Includes a FBO, SS and RBO.
5DR - 5 Door or 4 door hatchback models.
5PK - 5 Piece Kit. Includes a FS, SS and 1/4S.
5PBK - 5 Piece Bumper Kit. Includes a FBS, SS and 1/4S.
5PBOK - 5 Piece Bumper Overlay Kit. Includes a FBO, SS and 1/4S.
6PK - 6 Piece Kit. Includes a FS, SS, DC and RA.
6PBK - 6 Piece Bumper Kit. Includes a FBS, SS, DC and RBA.
6PBOK - 6 Piece Bumper Overlay Kit. Includes a FBO, SS, DC and RBO.

7PK - 7 Piece Kit. Includes a FS, SS, DC and 1/4S.
7PBK - 7 Piece Bumper Kit. Includes a FBS, SS, DC and 1/4S.
7PBOK - 7 Piece Bumper Overlay Kit. Includes a FBO, SS, DC and 1/4S.
